Well said. For me, one of the biggest slaps in the face I have seen are those bumper stickers that say, “McCain, because I love my country.”

I’ve never been so compelled to purposefully crash my vehicle into someone else’s.

This is an extremely well-reasoned post, and it is nice to see some christians finally thinking their beliefs all the way through. I have long thought it amazing how the religious right has been able to pick & choose their morality almost as a whim.

Well, I see your point, but if you look at their respective foreign policies (minus the rhetoric) their sameness is a reflection of how the acceptable standard deviation between the stances of the two major parties continues to shrink.

Both parties will:
Keep troops in Iraq.
Escalate troop levels in Afghanistan.
Use our military to continue the Bin Laden witch hunt at tax payer expense.
Support the instalation of a U.S. missile defense shield in Eastern Europe.

CNN LIVE: Karl Rove (when he “thought” he was off air, and was speaking candidly with reporters on the day of Palin’s nomination
“The decision to nominate Sarah Palin was not a “governing decision” but rather a “political decision” designed to make inroads with “soft republicans” and those Hillary supporters, male or female that can be gotten by somebody who is a gun-toting hockey-playing woman”

All the rest is just insult to injury…
